Linking Urban and Inner-Alpine Green Infrastructure - Multifunctional Ecosystem Services for more liveable territories

01/10/2019 – 30/06/2022
INTERREG Alpine Space – LUIGI
It gathers 14 partners across 6 alpine countries, working together on future-oriented solutions to enhance ecosystem services and green infrastructure networks.
Orchards, forests, rivers, green paths… There is a great variety of spaces connecting mountain ecosystems and urban centres. Each of these natural or semi-natural spaces, also referred as green infrastructures, brings environmental, economical and societal benefits: supply of food, water, materials, recreation areas, tourism, pollination, climate regulation… It is precisely this wide range of benefits, called ecosystem services, that LUIGI explores and intends to strengthen in Alpine, rural and urban areas.

REALWORLD4CLINIC : 2020-2023
RealWorld4Clinic will accelerate market launch of a coin-sized medical device anchored to the fundus of the stomach. There it acquires real-life cardio-respiratory health data for exploitation in drug development and telecardiology. The clinical trial market will be the stepping stone towards outpatient cardiological care – our priority market. We enrich the device by remote monitoring & data exploitation, training & education, and outcome prediction & performance measurement tools. Co-creation at the hearts of clinical contract research & clinical cardiology ensures patient comfort, workflow compatibility and policy compliance. The ambition is to make a significant impact on the real-world effectiveness of treatments by pursuing the convergence of clinical research & clinical care. We will improve the predictive power of clinical trials by 50% and halve the rate of emergency hospitalisations in heart failure patients – leveraging savings in the amount of billions of €.
