INNOVATION AND ORGANIZATION
Julien Jourdan is Professor of Strategy in the Department of Management & Organisation at PSL Paris-Dauphine University. He has a PhD in Strategic Management from HEC Paris and held academic positions at Imperial College London and Bocconi University.
His research is focused on the social evaluation of organizations by stakeholders in relation to business and corporate strategy. It appears in major academic journals, including Academy of Management Journal, American Journal of Sociology, and Strategy Science.
His work lies at the intersection of strategy and organization theory. He studies how organizations are evaluated by key stakeholders in fragmented institutional environments, and how evaluations relate to strategic issues, including resource acquisition (e.g., financing, social and human capital), resource allocation, market performance and survival. His current research agenda is largely focused on corporate scandals and their consequences for organizational competition.
