Mathieu Béal holds a PhD from University Lyon 3 (Best dissertation awards from FNEGE and Le Sphinx). His research interests are within the services management field, especially in service recovery and customers' complaints on social media. His research has been published in European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Service Research, and Marketing Letters.
At GEM, Mathieu mainly teaches Customer Relationship Management and Quantitative Methods.
