I am currently working on: 1) whether the level of inequality in the uptake of new technology (solar PV) is characterised by divergence or convergence over time, 2) whether learning progressions play a role in the structure of experience and learning (in financing pollution elimination projects in low- and middle-income countries), 3) how energy versus non-energy development bank investments affect employment and other economic development outcomes (in Brazil), 4) why some inventors cognitively migrate between 'distant' technology domains (shale gas patents), 5) whether electricity demand forecast quality responds to combining machine learning and classical forecast methods; 6) how cognitive ability in older individuals impacts their ability to respond to extreme thermal events; 7) the role of governance in regional inequality and divergence.
